How an Online Consultation Works
- Request a time: Call, send a WhatsApp message or use the form below with a short description of your matter.
- Confirm the appointment: A date and time are confirmed, and the consultation fee is communicated before the meeting.
- Share documents: Relevant documents can be shared in advance so they can be reviewed before the call.
- Join the call: The consultation takes place by Google Meet, Zoom or WhatsApp video, whichever you prefer.
- Next steps: You receive clear advice on your options, the likely process and what is needed if you decide to proceed.
Matters That Can Be Discussed Online
- Bail, NDPS and other criminal matters, including urgent advice for families
- Divorce, maintenance, child custody and domestic violence
- Property, probate and succession questions
- Cheque bounce, money recovery, DRT and consumer complaints
- Contract and copyright disputes in film and entertainment
- Matters for clients living outside Mumbai or abroad, including in the Gulf
Some steps still need to be done in person, such as appearances in court, signing and affirming affidavits, and producing original documents. These are planned during the consultation.
Consultations for Clients Abroad
Clients living abroad often need to follow proceedings in India, sign documents or appoint someone to act for them. A video consultation helps plan this efficiently, including scheduling calls across time zones and preparing documents such as a power of attorney, which must be executed and attested in the manner the law requires.
Confidentiality and Preparation
Consultations are treated as confidential. To make the best use of the time, please join from a quiet, private place, keep the relevant documents at hand, and note down your questions in advance.
- A short written summary of the matter and the key dates
- FIR, notices, summons or court orders received
- Agreements, property papers or correspondence relevant to the dispute
- Details of the next court date, if any
- Your questions, in order of importance
Video or In Person?
Both options receive the same attention. Many clients start with a video consultation and then meet at the Kurla West office, near BKC, when documents need to be examined in original or a matter needs detailed preparation.
